Are you a foodie lover? If yes, then this tour is for you! The essence of every traditional dish starts in the local food market - since antiquity, farmers, fishmongers, and fruit sellers have sold their products in these local markets. If you love and respect local produce and their sellers, you’ll probably want to know which produce are most commonly used within Galician cuisine.
In this 4.5 hour tour, we’ll visit a local market where we’ll purchase some fresh produce for later use. While in the market we’ll also talk with local sellers to learn a little bit about their produce. Then before getting straight in to cooking, we’ll do a small wine and cheese tasting, again with locally sourced goods. We then finalise the workshop with a traditional Galician ¨queimada.¨
Always! wear comfortable footwear and appropriate clothes as well as some water and fruit or snacks, In case of a rainy or cold day ( bear in mind we are in Galicia) bring suitable clothing. Scorching days put some sun cream, bring a cap or something else you consider.
