How to cook Spanish Padrón peppers?

In this new post, we are going to show you, how to cook the best Spanish Padrón. From Rooteiro, we want to promote sustainable tourism and support local people, as we have got a really good gastronomy, we think you must know it and try it.

 It is an easy recipe that can be made in different ways such as in the oven, fried or even stuffed with cheese and meat for example.

As you know, they come from a small village in the north west of Spain, the village of Rosalia de Castro, she was one of the most famous writers in Spain during the 19th century.

Anyway, let´s going to do it my friend!!!, in just a few steps I will show you how to roast them and create a superb Padron peppers recipe in just a couple of minutes.

How to cook Padron peppers? Ingredients and instructions.

This vegetable is a basic ingredient in the Galician cuisine, serving these Padron peppers tapas as a side dish or starter will make your cooking skills go to the next level!

Ingredients

  • A bag of Padron Peppers (500gr- 1lb)
  • Two tablespoons olive oil.
  • Sea salt or flaky sea salt

Instructions

✅ Take a medium size fried pan, put the olive oil in it and wait about 3 minutes until the oil is really hot (you will notice).

Wash peppers with generous water, after washing dry them all with a cloth or similar.

✅Put the them in the pan, you can start putting half of the bag. Wait around 3-4 minutes until skins are blistered and soft.

That´s all!!!  So easy eh wee man, a perfect dish in just a couple of minutes.

How to cook Padron peppers in the oven? Ingredients and instructions.

Ingredients

  • A bag of Padron Peppers (500gr- 1lb)
  • Two tablespoons olive oil.
  • Sea salt or flaky sea salt.

Instructions

✅ Preheat the oven during 15min at 200 ºC or 392°F.

Wash peppers with generous water, after washing dry them all with a cloth or similar.

✅Transfer peppers to a medium size crystal bowl and bake during 15-20m.

Remove and put them in a bowl or similar, sprinkle with salt as you desire.

Ready to eat!!!
