    Culture

Transmitting the values of our culture is one of the maxims of Rooteiro, the history of Galicia. On our routes we will get to know different historical and artistic sites such as Combarro or Pontevedra.

However, this is not all, as we will also give visibility to that part of the local everyday culture, we will learn how the hard job of shellfish gathering works or how the fish auction is carried out in the fish market.

    Gastronomy

At Rooteiro we want to showcase the rich and varied gastronomy of Galicia. We take into account factors such as the origin of the raw materials, how they are cooked and their quality (slow food).

On our routes you can feel like a true Galician and enjoy products such as mussels and preserves from the estuary, artisan cheeses, Galician pies or taste wines of limited production in small charming wineries.

    A sustainable Camino de Santiago

The region of Galicia is a land of rivers, mountains and sea with a great variety of flora and fauna.

Our team is committed to caring for all this natural wealth and generating the least possible negative impact on our surroundings.

We believe that walking the Camino de Santiago is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the local area. Moreover, as a pilgrim you have a very positive impact on the local economy as you spend money in the towns and villages you pass through.
