        Your journey begins with a visit to one of the most historic cities in northern Portugal.

        Valença stands out for its old town and impressive medieval fortress.

        In Tui, you can explore its Gothic cathedral and charming Jewish quarter.

        This stage is meant to be enjoyed! Starting from Valença, we’ll walk along the river promenade, crossing the bridge that connects Galicia and Portugal to arrive in Tui.

        We’ll continue this gentle trek through the forest until reaching O Porriño.

        After passing O Porriño, as we climb through the Louriña Valley, you’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Ría de Vigo.

        Following the climb, the route descends towards Redondela, where the stage ends.

        After a well-deserved rest, take time to explore the historic town of Redondela and savor one of the region’s delicacies, Arcade oysters.

        On this second stage, you will walk from Redondela toward the Roman bridge of Pontesampaio, a site steeped in history where Napoleon faced defeat against the local population during the War of Independence.

        After several kilometers through charming villages, you’ll reach the stage’s endpoint, the city of Pontevedra.

        Pontevedra is a historic city with a beautiful old town. Its narrow streets and rich heritage are sure to amaze you.

        In this stage, we leave Pontevedra via the O Burgo Bridge and head toward the forested area of Barro. Upon reaching Briallos, there’s a detour to visit the Barosa River waterfalls, which we highly recommend exploring.

        Afterward, a network of trails will guide us to Caldas de Reis, a thermal town cherished by the Romans for its hot springs. In Caldas de Reis, you can visit the Church of Santa María de Bemil and enjoy the thermal baths.

        After spending the night in Caldas de Reis, we will start the stage by entering the forest, following a path of great beauty that leads to Pontecesures and its Roman bridge, which separates the provinces of Pontevedra and A Coruña.

        Just 3 km further, you will reach the end of the stage in Padrón.

        In this final stage, we will leave Padrón heading towards Iria Flavia and A Escravitude.

        After passing through these towns, we will enter the municipality of Teo, and finally, the last stop will be at the famous Plaza del Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela, marking the end of the journey.
